This comet was visible in the southeast in the early morning when the image was taken. This image was acquired early on Christmas Eve. I had the telescope out all night and had a lot of frost on the rig, possibly also on the secondary mirror. The FWHM was not ideal. I registered the images with comet registration in APP, then I ran a batch job with StarXterminator and removed the stars from all subs, integrated the comet alone and then added back the stars from only one sub with Pixelmath in PI. I would have liked to have better detail in the tail.
